Russia had another successful day at the European 10 Metre Shooting Championships in Osijek today as team action dominated the programme.

With quarter-finals going ahead in four different events at the Gradski Vrt Hall and initial qualifying taking place in a further two, Russia advanced in every contest.

In the women’s team air pistol quarter-finals they beat Slovenia 575-546 and advanced alongside Hungary, Ukraine and Germany, who beat Switzerland, Serbia and Poland respectively.

In the men’s team air pistol quarters, they saw off Hungary 582-568 and in the men’s team air rifle they knocked out France 628.1-624,6.

In the women’s team air rifle they continued their strong performance with a 624.1-620.9 win over the Czech Republic, before then advancing into the final of the mixed team 10m air pistol in first place.

Their pair of Vitalina Batsarashkina and Artem Chernousov scored 782.34 points, qualifying ahead of Serbia’s Zorana Arunović and Damir Mikec, who posted 778.33.

France’s Celine Goberville and Florian Fouquet came third scoring 776.26 points.

Russia did not perform quite so strongly in the mixed team air rifle event but still qualified for the final in fourth as Anastasiia Galashina and Vladimir Maslennikov scored 834.9 points.

Italy’s Petra Zublasing and Marco Suppini topped qualifying with a score of 840.6 points.
