Russia won a thrilling women’s junior team air pistol final against Hungary on the third day of competition at the European 10 metres Shooting Championship in Osijek.

The Russians, whose team comprised Nadezhda Koloda, Iana Enina and Anastasia Shadakh, snatched the last two points to triumph 17-15 at the Croatian city’s Gradski Vrt Hall.

In the bronze medal match, Turkey beat Poland 17-9.

The equivalent men's final saw Czech Republic's Jan Vildomec, Pavel Schejbal and Krystof Krsek prevail by a scoreline of 16-14 over Belarus.

Russia rounded out the podium after easing to a 17-9 victory against Ukraine in the third-place play-off.

The men's and women's junior team air rifle events were also held today.

Hungary's Ferenc Toeroek, Marton Istvan Klenczner and Zalan Pekler sealed success in the men's competition by defeating Russia 17-7.

Germany edged Czech Republic 16-14 in the bronze medal match.

In the women's event, Russia's Daria Boldinova, Polina Bolotkova and Tatiana Kharkova secured the gold medal with a 16-8 win over Denmark.

The bronze medal went to Germany after they overcame Poland 16-10.
