The organisers of the 2019 European Games in Minsk have released a promotional video showing off the best the city has to offer.

In a bid to attract more visitors to the Belarusian capital during the Games, the 30-second video, which shows clips from some of the city’s main attractions, calls on tourists to "be welcome" and "indulged".

It also briefly shows off Minsk's nightlife and cultural attractions, including the National Library, the National Museum of Art and Nesvizh Castle.

The video then calls on fans to "be part of it" when the European Games begin.

It ends with the tag line "Be unique, be Minsk".

As of February 4, around 20,000 tickets have been sold for the Games, which will run from June 21 to 30.

That equates to only five per cent of the overall number available, at 381,000.

Last month the Organising Committee said they hope 70,000 tourists will visit Belarus during the Games.

A Government official, however, has said they expect nearer 30,000.
