Dustin Johnson of the United States has moved in front of Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy by four strokes at the World Golf Championships (WGC)-Mexico Championships. 

Johnson was leading yesterday by two shots and today extended this at the end of the third round. 

He posted a five-under 66 at Chapultepec Golf Club to stay on track for his sixth WGC title.

McIlroy remained in second after mixing seven birdies with four bogeys.

Four players are tied in third, three strokes behind McIlroy.

This includes Americans Patrick Reed and Patrick Cantlay, Spain's Sergio Garcia and Australia's Cameron Smith. 

American 14-time major winner Tiger Woods remains inside the top ten after a final-hole birdie saw him stay under par.

The competition in Chapultepec will conclude tomorrow.
