La Molina in Spain will host an extended World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup next month after the upcoming event in Espot, due to begin on March 3, was cancelled.

The event in the Spanish resort from March 10 to 16 will feature three super-G events on the 10th and 11th, before two giant slalom and one slalom event go ahead from the 14th to 16th.

It means La Molina will now stage two consecutive weeks of Para snowsport action, with the next World Para Snowboard World Cup also scheduled to take place there from March 4 to 8.

No reason for the Espot cancellation has been given.
