Poland defeated Belgium to qualify for the Women's World Floorball Championships ©IFF

Czech Republic and Poland both won today at the European qualifiers to secure their spots at the Women's World Floorball Championships later this year.

Czech Republic thrashed Italy 34-1 at the AWFiS Arena in Gdansk to top Group Three of the European qualifiers and secure a place at the Women's World Floorball Championships,due to take place this December in Neuchâtel in Switzerland.

Poland also qualified from Group Three, comfortably beating Belarus 9-0.

Norway increased their chances of qualifying following a 14-0 victory against France, with the winner of tomorrow's match between Norway and Denmark set to join Sweden at the World Championships from Group One.

More matches were taking place in the Slovakian town of Trencin, with Slovakia and Latvia qualifying from Group Four.

Slovakia defeated Hungary 12-1 and Latvia won 11-2 against The Netherlands.

Finland booked their place at the World Championships from Group Two after dominating against Russia to beat them 18-1. 

The top two teams from each group qualify, alongside the two best third-placed teams.

They are due to be decided tomorrow on the final day of action.
