Germany's Felix Keisinger won the men's skeleton event at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) Junior World Championships in Königssee.

Keisinger won the junior world title in a total time of 1min 42.32sec, taking it off Nikita Tregubov of Russia, who had won the event for the past four years.

Tregubov is now ineligible to compete at the Championships having reached the age of 23.

In second was Keisinger's compatirot Fabian Kuechler in 1:42.37.

Russia's Evgeniy Rukosuev came third with 1:42.46.

Keisinger is now eligible to start at the IBSF World Championships in Whistler from February 25 to March 9.

The home crowd could celebrate once again when the German duo of Richard Oelsner and Ammour Issam triumphed in the two-man bobsleigh. 

They recorded a time of 1:39.71 to defeat Austria's Markus Treichl and Kilian Walch, who finished second with 1:39.76.

Russia's Rostislav Gaitiukevich and Alexey Zaytsev came third in 1:39.83.

Latvia's Jennifer Jantina Oluumi Desire Onasanya and Katrin Beierl won the two-woman bobsleigh in 1:42.24.

In second was Romania's Andreea Grecu and Teodora Andreea Vlad with a time of 1:42.25 and Germany's Kim Kalicki and Kira Lipperheide finished third in 1:42.48.

The Junior World Championships is due to conclude tomorrow with the women's skeleton and four-man bobsleigh.
