Russia won gold in the mixed team ski jumping event on the concluding day of the International Ski Federation Nordic Junior World Championships in Lahti, to top the medal table.

The Russian team of Anna Shpyneva, Mikhail Purtov, Lidiia Iakovleva and Maksim Sergeev scored 984.4 points to head the pile in Finland.

Norway finished second with Ingebjoerg Saglien Braaten, Fredrik Villumstad, Silje Opseth and Thomas Aasen Marking securing 979.6 points. 

Germany's Agnes Reisch, Luca Roth, Selina Freitag and Constantin Schmid came third with a score of 964.8.

Today's other event at the Championships was the men's 10 kilometre Nordic combined which was won by Austria's Johannes Lamparter.

Lamparter was fifth after the jumping, receiving 129.5 points for an effort of 98.5 metres, but recorded a race time of 28mins 16.8sec after the cross-country when starting five seconds behind leader Jens Luraas Oftebro of Norway.

This was faster than Germany's Julian Schmid, who got 131.7 points to finish second after the jumping but finished in 28:29.0. 

Norway's Andreas Skoglund came third in 28:48.2. as Oftebro slipped to sixth.

With action in Lahti concluding today, Russia's ski jumping success saw them top the overall medal table with six titles in total. 

Norway finished with four golds, while Germany collected three.
