Copenhagen is set to host the European Rowing Indoor Championships with over 1,000 athletes due to compete in the Danish capital.

The annual one-day event will take place in the Gladsaxe Sports Arena.

The arena, located in the Gladsaxe municipality in Copenhagen, has recently been renovated.

It has previously served as the main venue for Danish indoor rowing events, including the country’s national championships.

Bagsværd Rowing Club and rowing machine manufacturer Concept2 Denmark will support the Danish Rowing Federation in hosting the event.

Organisers state events range in length, with the 500 metres representing the shortest distance event.

The longest distance will be 2,000m.

Relay events will also be held, with teams of four completing 500m each.

A wide range of age group events feature at the Championships.
