England's Robert Paxton and Ellen Falkner claimed the mixed pairs title as action continued today at the World Indoor Bowls Championships in Norfolk.
The duo came from behind to beat the pairing of England's Nick Brett and New Zealand's Helen Carman 1-15, 10-3, 2-0 at Potters Resort.
Later in the day, Paxton suffered a 3-7, 6-7 defeat against compatriot Scott Edwards in the second round of the men's singles event.
It marks an early exit for the 40-year-old, who was the beaten finalist in 2016 and 2018.
England's Les Gillet awaits Edwards in the quarter-finals after he overcame Scotland's Paul Foster 5-4, 2-9, 2-0.
Also through to the last eight is Scotland's Stewart Anderson, the 2013 champion, thanks to his 12-5, 6-6 win over England's Jamie Chestney.
The women's singles semi-finals headline tomorrow's schedule.
A further two second-round matches in the men's singles are also due to take place.
