Olympic champion Sarah Hoefflin of Switzerland won the women's slopestyle International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle Skiing World Cup event in Font Romeu following two days of postponed action due to high winds. 

High winds saw the action at the French resort postponed for two days, with the women's qualification round completely cancelled and the men's qualifying event taking place today before the finals. 

Hoefflin won the women's final with a score of 78.52 points.

In second was Eileen Gu of the United States with 78.03 points, while Switzerland's Giulia Tanno finished third on 74.54.

Hoefflin now leads the slopestyle World Cup rankings with 180 points, with Gu in second on 104 and Estonia's Kelly Sildaru third with 100.

The men's competition saw Alexander Hall victorious after recording a winning score of 92.11 points.

The 17-year-old Philippe Langevin of Canada came second with 90.27 points and Switzerland's Andri Ragettli finished third on 89.06.

Hall's win sees him top the rankings with 129 points, with his compatriot Mac Forehand just behind him on 125.

Sweden's Henrik Harlaut, the winner of the season opener in Subai, is sitting in third place with 107 points. 

The next slopestyle FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup event is due to take place in Seiseralm in Italy, from January 25 to 27. 

The FIS Moguls World Cup season is due to continue this evening with an event in Calgary in Canada.
