Beginning with individual Gundersen action, the competition will last for three days.

It will also feature a team sprint race on Saturday (January 12) before ending with another individual event on Sunday (January 13).

Last time out in Otepää, Jarl Magnus Riiber won both races in Estonia to extend his overall lead in the standings.

The World Cup featured two Gundersen competitions on consecutive days, with double world junior champion Riiber winning the first by completing the 10 kilometre cross-country course in 23min 18.1sec after finishing second in the ski jumping.

On the second day he put in an even stronger performance, winning the ski jump and then maintaining that lead throughout the cross-country race, completing it the second time in 22:31.1.

It means the 21-year-old currently leads the overall standings on 680 points, having won six events so far this season.

He leads by 279 points in front of Germany's double Olympic champion Johannes Rydzek, who finished second in the last race in Otepää.
