The team of 12 features five Paralympians, including Rio 2016 Paralympic champion Nikita Howarth, who also secured a bronze medal at the same Games.

Rio silver and bronze medalist Emma Foy is included, as is Beijing 2008 silver medalist Kate Horan.

Amanda Cameron and Hannah van Kampen, who made their Paralympic debuts at Rio, will compete, with Sarah Ellington, Nicole Murray, Nick Blincoe, Nina Wollaston, Anna Taylore, Mitchell Wilson and Jackson Ogle making up the rest of the team.

It will be Wilson, Ogle and Taylor's international debut at the competition.

"We are thrilled with the size, quality and experience of the team we announced today," said Stu MacDonald, PNZ's cycling head performance coach.

"Many of the team will be aiming for podium finishes and gaining valuable UCI points to secure athlete slots for New Zealand at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

"We also have three Para-cyclists who will be making their international debut in The Netherlands and looking to build their experience against world class competition.”

The UCI Para Cycling Track World Championships will take place in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn from March 14 to 17.
