France’s Marie Bochet reigned supreme yet again as the third and final day of racing at the Para Alpine Europa Cup in Salastrains, St Moritz saw slalom take over from giant slalom.

Bochet finished with a 0.00 points scoring after winning both her runs in the women’s slalom standing event.

Second placed Alana Ramsay of Canada was 7.27sec adrift of Bochet’s combined total of 1min 52.27sec, scoring 39.50, with third place going to Germany’s Anna-Maria Rieder on 60.64.

The women’s slalom vision impaired victory went to Noemi Ristau of Germany, guided by Mauritz Trautner, who scored 62.81 points following an aggregate time of 2:03.83.    

Second place went to Britain’s Menna Fitzpatrick, guided by Jennifer Kehoe, who totalled 62.92.

Australia’s Melissa Perrone, guided by Bobbi Kelly, won the first run but was disqualified on the second.

Britain’s Kelly Gallagher, a winner in the women’s giant slalom vision impaired on both of the previous days, did not finish today’s competition.

Germany’s seven-times Paralympian champion Anna Schaffelhuber, a winner in the previous day’s giant slalom sitting event, had to give best to team-mate Anna-Lena Foster in the slalom version.

Forster won both runs in an aggregate time of 2:03.97, totalling 63.57 points.

Schaffelhuber, second in both, totalled 82.80, with third place going to Japan’s Momoka Muraoka, who finished with 93.40.

Italy’s Giacomo Bertagnolli won the men’s slalom vision impaired race after finishing second in the first run and winning the second one.

Bertagnolli, guided by Fabrizio Casal, totalled 40.79 points for a time aggregate of 1:49.12.

Second place went to Slovakia’s Miroslav Haraus, guided by Maros Hudik, who won the opening run but lost his lead in finishing third on the second run, to earn a points total of 58.57.

Third place was claimed by France’s Thomas Civade, guided by Kerwan Larmet, who finished fourth and second in the runs for a total of 75.80 points.

Arthur Bauchet of France was an emphatic winner in the men’s slalom standing event, winning both runs for a time of 1:42.28 and a points score of 0.00.

New Zealand’s Adam Hall was second with 41.69 points, ahead of Austria’s Martin Wuerz, who scored 52.36.

Wins in both runs secured the overall men’s slalom sitting victory for Jeroen Kampschreur, who totalled 37.22 race points.

His Dutch colleague Niels De Langen was second with 73.06, with third place going to Takeshi Suzuki of Japan, who scored 81.65.
