The Americans already knew that they would finish top of the group phase heading into the last game of the round in London in Ontario.

Hosts Canada were also assured of second place at the three-team tournament so had also booked their spot in tomorrow's gold medal match.

It meant South Korea, who hosted the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang in March, were simply playing for pride at the Western Fair Sports Centre.

They slumped to a fourth straight defeat, however, and end the event without registering a goal after losing twice to both the US and the Canadians.

Declan Farmer bagged four goals and claimed an assist as the Americans ran riot.

Brody Roybal also scored and notched four assists, with Kevin McKee, Luke McDermott and Travis Dodson also registering.

Jen Lee made a single save in the American goal to ensure the shut-out. 

The US will be the favourites for tomorrow's final, having beaten Canada 4-1 and 3-0 in London so far.

They also won the Paralympic final in Pyeongchang against Canada, 2-1 following overtime. 

The Para Hockey Cup, previously known as World Sledge Hockey Challenge, was re-branded in June with retail company Canadian Tire named as the title sponsor.
