Her nearest rival in the semi-final stage was France's Manon Basseville, who achieved a score of 580 points.

The top three was completed by Nadine Kamark, with the Swedish cyclist ending a further 20 points down.

Men's junior 26 and 20 inch competitions also began today, with the semi-finals taking place in both competitions.

Germany's Oliver Widmann topped the standings in the 26 inch semi-finals, as he achieved a score of 710 points.

His team-mate Felix Keitel was second on 350, while France's Nathan Charra completed the top three with a score of 240.

Spain's Alejandro Montalvo, who helped his nation secure the team title yesterday, topped the standings in the 20 inch semi-finals.

He achieved a total of 820 points, with Britain's Charlie Rolls following in second place on 700.

The top three was completed by Spain's Marti Aran, who scored 530 points.

Men's elite semi-finals are scheduled to take place tomorrow, with all trials finals taking place on Saturday (November 10).

Spain's Abel Mustieles and Jack Carthy of Britain will aim to defend their 20 and 26 inch crowns respectively.

Cross-country eliminator qualification and finals will be held tomorrow.

France's Titouan Perrin-Ganier and Switzerland's Kathrin Stirnemann are the reigning men's and women's champions in cross-country eliminator.

Semi-finals of the BMX Freestyle events will take place on the same day, prior to the finals on Sunday (November 11) as the World Championships draw to a close.

The second edition of the UCI event brings together trials, mountain bike eliminator and BMX freestyle disciplines.
