The four leaders of each section at the World Bowls Champion of Champions event in Australia have automatically qualified for the semi-finals with the participants of the elimination round also decided.

The last day of the qualifiers at St Johns Park Bowling Club in New South Wales saw Shannon Mcllroy of New Zealand consolidate his lead at the top of the men's section one and automatically qualify for the semi-final.

He beat Ozkan Akar of Turkey 11-7, 6-1, 7-0 to do so.

His semi-final opponent will be decided when Ejoy Redzuan of Malaysia and Clive McGreal of the Isle of Man play each other in the elimination round tomorrow.

Lee Schraner of Australia beat Roger Jones of Wales 10-3, 10-5 and Avala Savanlinaea of Samoa 13-6, 14-7 to win men's section two.

He will play either Martyn Rice of Scotland or Tom Cheung of Hong Kong.

In the women's section one, Jo Edwards of New Zealand placed first and automatically qualified for the semi-finals. 

It came after she defeated Colleen Orr of Australia 9-8, 13-2 and Rahsan Akar of Turkey 9-6, 10-4.

Tammy Tham of Singapore and Anne Nunes of the United States will fight it out to play Edwards in the semi-final.

Alyani Jamil of Malaysia finished top of the women's section two after beating Ruthy Gilor of Israel 14-2, 14-4 and Janice Pilling of the Isle of Man 11-7, 10-7.

She will meet either Dee Hoggen of Scotland or Marietjie van der Bergh of Namibia in the semi-final.

All elimination rounds and semi-finals will be played tomorrow.
