China's bobsleigh athletes continued their preparations for their home Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics by hosting their second National Championships.

The competition was held in Canadian city Calgary as the Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track for the Games in the Chinese capital is still under construction.

Eight events were held - including the Olympic disciplines of four-man, two-man and two-woman.

Single woman push, single man push, two-woman push, two-man push and four-man push were also held.

The four-man title went to Shao Yijun, Shi Hao, Wang Sidong and Chen Tianhong.

Jin Jian, Wu Zhitao and Ye Jielong were all awarded the two-man crown with Ying Qing, Tan Yinghui and Lu Chunyang succeeding in the two-woman.

China has little heritage in bobsleigh but is pumping in resources to improve in time for their home Games.

They came 26th and 29th in the two-man at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics and 26th in the four-man.

A Chinese sled did not enter the women's event.

Canada's 1998 Olympic gold medallist Pierre Lueders is the head coach of the Chinese set-up.
