Originally Russia led, with Brazil in second and The Netherlands in third at the Aspire Dome in the Qatari capital.

The second rotation saw Britain move into first, Brazil stay in second and Japan move into third place.

Triple Olympic and 10-time world champion Kohei Uchimura then scored 14.133 points on the pommel horse to help move Japan into first place, with Russia in second and Britain in third at the halfway point.

With two rotations to go, Russia had moved into first place after Nikita Nagornyy and Artur Dalaloyan both scored more than 15.000 points on the vault.

China moved into second and Japan dropped into third.

Lin Chaopan then scored 15.133 points on the vault to help China take the lead with one rotation to go.

On the final rotation, Zou Jingyuan consolidated China's place in first when he scored 16.200 on the parallel bars.
