Action on the second day of the 2018 Sydney Invictus Games included the road cycling time trials and criterium as well as sailing. 

The time trials and criterium consisted of ten events each, with the United Kingdom and United States dominating.  

Andrew White of the UK won the men's road cycling IRB3 time trial in a time of 2mins 39.38secs, and then got gold in the criterium event as well in 32:40.00. 

Compatriot Michael Swain was victorious in the hand bike IHB2 time trial and criterium with times of 3:28.97 and 29:42.00, while Steve Sebburn, also of the UK, won the road cycling IRB2 time trial in 2:58.42.

In the women's events, the UK was also triumphant in the women's recumbent bike IRECB1 time trial and criterium through Debbie O'Connell with times of 4:05.80 and 40:27.00. 

The US were triumphant in the men's hand bike IHB1 time trial and criterium with Ryan Pinney securing times of 3:35.89 and 27:00.00, and the men's recumbent bike IRECB1 time trial and criterium through Daniel Lee with times of 3:33:32 and 34:50.00.

In the women's competition, American Gabriel E.M. Graves-Wake won gold in the women's hand bike IHB2 time trial and criterium with times of 4:55.49 and 30:43.00.

Compatriot Kristen Elizabeth Morris prevailed in the women's road cycling IRB2 time trial and criterium with times of 3:32.82 and 35:33.00 and another US rider in Brandi Evans was victorious in the road cycling IRB3 time trial and criterium in 3:39.82 and 35:58.00.

The only other country to win gold in the road cycling time trials was France, with David Travadon coming out on top in the men's road cycling IRB1 time trial and criterium with times of 2:59.94 and 33:32.00.

Compatriot Nicolas Melen won the men's road cycling IRB2 criterium in 33:40.00.

In sailing, the Hansa Dinghy individual and Elliot 7 team qualification events and finals took place. 

Cyrille Chahboune of France won gold in the Hansa Dinghy individual event, while Australia were victorious in the Elliot 7 team final.

The fourth Invictus Games were opened by Prince Harry yesterday with the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge getting the action underway.

The British Royal founded the event which is for wounded armed forces personnel. 

Tomorrow will see the indoor rowing finals and competition in the sitting volleyball and wheelchair tennis events begin.
