The Beigang Para Dance Sport Open in Chinese Taipei saw the Philippines awarded three gold medals ©World Para Dance Sport

Philippines win three gold medals at Beigang Para Dance Sport Open in Chinese Taipei. 

The opening event of the Beigang Para Dance Sport Open was the combi freestlye class 1, won by Rama Agbagala and John Orboc of the Philippines. 

In second came Aidana Beglenova and Ardak Otorbayev of Kazakhstan and third was Japan's Ada Mitsutero and Tormoe Ito. 

The victorious duo from the Phillipines also won a silver medal in the combi Latin 1. 

South Korean dancers took the gold and bronze medals in that event, with Jini Ryu and Changwoo Han placing first and Hayun Jeong and Hochun Song in third. 

Filipinos Rhea Marquez and Julius Obero won gold medals in the combi freestyle 2 and combi Latin 2, despite performing in the Opening Ceremony for the 2018 Asian Para Games the day before.

Compatriots Lairca Nicdao and Filemon Baguio got silver medals in the combi freestlye 2, while Kulshum Atalykova and Yermek Kalymbetov of Kazakhstan came third.

Ukraine's Olena Danevych came second in the combi Latin 2 gold medal, while South Korea's Youngseon Park and Youngho Lee finished third. 

In the women's singles event, Sofie Cox of Belgium won the women's singles class 1 and 2 title. 

So Tze Yan Susanna of Hong Kong and Germany's Pamela Heymanns came second and third in both categories. 

Heymann pipped Cox to the  gold medal in the women's freestyle 1 and 2 however, with Nicdao getting bronze. 

In the men's singles class 1 event, Changoo Han finished first, Ma Wah Keung came second and Sewoong Kang came third, all dancers from South Korea. 

The next Para Dance Sport event is due to be the European Championships in Łomianki in Poland between November 9 and 11.
