With two gold medals to her name already at the International Gymnastics Federation World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, Dina Averina could soon add more titles as she qualified top in the clubs event.

Dina pipped her identical twin sister to the top spot despite receiving a 0.050 penalty at the Arena Armeec in Sofia.

Arina Averina took on a club routine with an 11.300 difficulty and scored a total of 19.750.

Dina executed a more difficult routine of 12.100 to lead the qualification with 20.500 points.

Ukraine's Vlada Nikolchenko sits in third with 19.350.

In the other qualifying event, Milena Baldassari of Italy currently tops the ribbon qualifying with 17.800.

Her compatriot Alexandra Agiurgiuculese, who won bronze in the ball final, qualified in second.

Agiurgiuculese's bronze medal was the first individual medal for Italy in 27 years at the World Championships.

Belarus are third and fourth in the table as Anastasiia Salos and Katsiaryna Halkina scored 17.500 and 16.400 respectively.

The Russian twins will perform with the ribbon tomorrow and will be looking to score higher than the results posted so far.

Both the clubs and ribbons finals will then be held.

In the all-around, the Averina twins are ahead of the rest of the field.

Dina is currently in gold medal position with 60.800 points with Arina in silver with 60.00.

Nikolchenko is third on 58.000 points.

Russia's golden twins lead the way in the team event too where they are joined by ball silver medallist Aleksandra Soldatova.

So far, the Russian team are on 161.175 points ahead of hosts Bulgaria on 150.650.

Israel occupy bronze medal position at the moment with 145.350 points.
