USA Curling has announced a partnership with Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO), which will become the governing body's official sports medicine provider.

Both parties have signed a deal which will run through to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

TCO, described as one of the largest orthopedic groups in the United States, will "provide strength training and conditioning, preventative care, rehabilitation and more for the USA Curling teams".

The Minnesota company shares its state with many USA Curling athletes, with others living in neighbouring states.

Conditioning of the curlers will take place at a state-of-the-art sports performance and training centre.

"We are ecstatic to have begun this multi-year partnership with Twin Cities Orthopedics," said Rick Patzke, chief executive of USA Curling.

"This raises the level of professionalism for elite performance support and services available in the USA Curling High Performance Programme exponentially."

Chris Bailey, director of sports medicine and therapy at TCO, added: "This partnership between TCO and USA Curling makes great sense on so many levels, especially given both of our commitments to the local communities and regions we work, play and compete in.

"We are looking forward to enhancing what the team is receiving in the areas of orthopedics and sports performance to help these athletes perform at their highest level."

The US men's team won the Olympic gold medal at Pyeongchang 2018 in February.
