Sweden's Tove Alexandersson maintained her dominant run of form as she recorded yet another victory by winning the women's pursuit event at the Orienteering World Cup in Østfold in Norway.

Alexandersson produced another superb display as she added to her long distance triumph yesterday.

The Swede, who won two gold medals at the recent World Championships - which doubled as the World Cup event - completed the course in 42min 18sec.

She led from start to finish on her way to crossing the line over three minutes in front of nearest challenger and compatriot Karolin Ohlsson.

Third place was claimed by Russian Anastasia Rudnaya, who was a further 11 seconds off the pace.

The result for the Swede saw her extend her advantage at the summit of the overall standings.

There was further Swedish success in the men's event as the country sealed a second one-two.

William Lind started 3:24 behind the leading pack but gradually fought his way back into the race, clinching victory in 45:06.

Lind's compatriot Gustav Bergman was 0.01 adrift in silver medal position, while Frederic Tranchand of France came through to take bronze.

The event in Østfold concludes with the relay tomorrow.
