Russia made it seven gold medals out of seven thus far at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships by winning the mixed duet technical and women’s team free events on the penultimate day of action in Budapest.

Alina Mantulenko and Mikhail Vasilev topped the mixed duet technical podium after managing a total of 83.6404 points at the Hungarian capital's Duna Aréna.

China’s Zhang Yiyao and Shi Haoyu finished second with 79.3538 points, while Japan’s Kana Miyauchi and Jimma Iwasaki came third with 78.7287.

In the women’s team free competition, Russia triumphed with a total of 93.6667 points.

Their side was made up of Antonina Bazlova, Kristina Tagankina, Milena Maretich, Sofia Titova, Valeriya Nesterova, Polina Soloveva, Tatiana Gayday and Kira Snisarenko.

Ukraine took the silver medal with 91.8000 points, while Japan came away with the bronze with 90.5667.

Action at the FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships is due to conclude tomorrow.

The mixed duet free and women's team free combination events are set to take centre stage.
