Russia claimed three gold medals as the success for the nation continued on the fourth day of the World Finswimming Championships in Belgrade.

The Russian 4x200 metres relay teams triumphed in the men's and women's surface events at the Milan Gale Muskatirovic venue in the Serbian capital, while Vladimir Zhuravlev topped the podium in the 50m apnea final.

China also celebrated a gold medal today as Shu Cheng Jing won the women's 50m apnea event.

Zhuravlev began what proved to be a golden night for Russia as he clocked 14.24 sec to beat team-mate Pavel Kabanov to the 50m apnea title.

The bronze medal was claimed by Lee Kwan-ho, who touched the wall in 14.35.

Ekaterina Mikhailushkina, Valeria Baranovskaya, Elena Lopatina and Alina Nalbandian then took to the pool and stormed to victory in the women's 200m surface relay in a time of 2min 34.75sec.

China came through to take the silver medal, while bronze went to Colombia.

The Russian men's quartet of Pavel Kabanov, Viacheslav Noskov, Zhuravlev and Dmitrii Zhurman then swiftly followed suit, clinching the gold medal in 2:20.97.

South Korea and Italy were the recipients of silver and bronze respectively.

Jing was the sole Chinese gold medallist today, winning the 50m apnea final in 15.90.

Yoon Miri of South Korea denied China a one-two as she secured silver ahead of Lin Yaqi.

The event in Belgrade continues tomorrow.
