Great Britain’s Guy Bridge has won the men's gold fleet event at the 2018 Formula Kite European Championships in Germany.

His brother Oliver led the way after yesterday’s action but ended up second with 29.0 points.

France’s Axel Mazella finished third with 40.3 points.

In the women’s event, the United States’ Daniela Moroz prevailed with 12 points.

She was followed in the standings by Russia’s Elena Kalinina with 28 and France’s Alexia Fancelli with 35.

The event, organised by the International Kiteboarding Association, was held in a short track format.

It came as kiteboarding looks set to appear at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
