Australia’s Amanda Spratt has won stage six of the Giro Rosa to move to the top of the overall standings.
The 30-year-old triumphed in a time of 2 hours 57min 49sec on the 114 kilometres stage from Sovico to Gerola Alta in this International Cycling Union Women's WorldTour event.
Mitchelton-Scott team-mate Annemiek van Vleuten of The Netherlands finished 29 seconds behind in the runners-up spot.
South Africa’s Ashleigh Moolman Pasio of Cervélo-Bigla Pro Cycling was a further two seconds back in third.
Spratt now leads stage five winner and overnight leader Ruth Winder of the United States by 30 seconds in the general classification.
The Australian sits on an overall time of 15:38:44.
Van Vleuten is 33 seconds off the pace in third.
The race is due to continue tomorrow with a 15km individual time trial from Lanzada to Diga di Campo Moro.
