Kgothatso Montjane clinched a fourth women's singles title at the Swiss Open in Geneva by beating British top seed Lucy Shuker in the final.

The South African world number eight will head to Wimbledon next week full of confidence after a 7-5, 6-2 win at the Centre Sportif du Bois-des-Frères in this International Tennis Federation 1 Series tournament.

It marked a fourth success since 2013 and a successful defence of the title she won last year at the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour event.

France's Nicolas Peifer claimed a first title in the corresponding men's wheelchair event.

The world number nine and third seed beat defending champion Takashi Sanada of Japan in the semi-finals.

He then sealed victory with a hard fought 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 win over Belgium's Joachim Gerard in the final.

They beat third seeds Charlotte Famin of France and Michaela Spaantra of The Netherlands 6-4, 6-3 in the final.

Gerard and Peifer won the men's doubles event with a 7-6(1), 6-1 success of Sanada and another Dutchman in Tom Egberink.
