Herbert Keller set up a clash with top seed Joachim Gerard by winning his men’s singles first round tie at the Swiss Open in Geneva.

Keller went head to head with Sebastian Buettiker in an all-Swiss tie as the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Wheelchair Tennis Tour event began.

He emerged as a 6-0, 6-3 winner against Buettiker at the Centre Sportif du Bois-des-Frères.

Keller’s reward is a meeting with Gerard, the Belgian having received a bye through the opening round.

Raphael Gremion is set to face second seed Takashi Sanada of Japan in his second round tie tomorrow.

It followed the Swiss player’s narrow 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 victory over France’s Vianney Martin.
