Five more athletes have been nominated for the International Paralympic Committee's (IPC) Allianz Athlete of the Month award for June.

Turkey's Sevda Altunoluk is in the frame after leading the scoring charts at the Goalball World Championships in Malmo.

She helped steer her side to the silver medal with 46 goals, the most across the men's and women's tournaments.

Also in the frame is Japan's wheelchair tennis player Shingo Kunieda, who was undefeated as he helped his country to a third World Team Cup title in The Netherlands.

He followed this up with individual success, winning his 22nd Grand Slam title at the French Open.

Kunieda won all of his matches in straight sets on the Paris clay to reclaim his world number one ranking for the first time since 2016.

Brazil's blind footballer Ricardinho is another contender after he led Brazil's men to their third World Championship title in a row in Madrid.

He ended as the tournament's top scorer in the Spanish capital, netting 10 times.

American wheelchair racer Daniel Romanchuk and Norwegian rower Birgit Skarstein complete the list of nominees.

Romanchuk broke the 5,000 metres T54 world record at the Swiss Nationals at the beginning of June, and then set a new mark for the 800m at the Arizona Grand Prix.

Skarstein broke the world best time in the PR1 women's singles sculls at the World Cup event in Linz-Ottensheim in Austria, and went on to win the event.

Members of the public can now vote for their winner using a poll on the IPC website here.

The nominations are compiled from submissions by National Paralympic Committees and International Federations.
