Karen Faride Achach Ramírez and Nuria Lindón Diosdado García of Mexico will aim to continue their impressive form when Tashkent hosts the final International Swimming Federation Artistic Swimming World Series event of the season.

The Mexican duo claimed two gold medals during their last outing in Greece and arrive in the Uzbek capital as the pairing to beat in the duets competition.

They are both also likely to challenge for the solo victory following their displays at the event on Syros Island earlier this month.

Diosdado, a finalist at the 2016 Olympic Gamesin Rio de Janeiro, claimed free programme gold and Jimenez finished atop in the women's solo technical.

Olympian Naďa Daabousova of Slovakia and local hope Khonzodakhon Tashkhudjaeva are among the other solo contenders in Tashkent, a competition due to start tomorrow and conclude on Sunday (July 1).

Olzhas Makhanbetuyarov and Sophia Lyakh of Kazkahstan and home hopes Dinara Ibragimova and Vechislav Rudnev are set to battle it out for glory in the mixed duet event.

Both pairings are using the World Series leg to hone their preparations for the World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships in Budapest later this year.

All team events will be a duel between Uzbekistan and Slovakia as they are the only two countries to have entered.

A number of local clubs will compete but their scores will not count towards the World Series.
