Six-time winners Argentina ended the fine run of hosts Greenland as the Pan American Men's Handball Championship reached the semi-final stage in Nuuk.

The home side won four games in the group stage and lost just one to advance to the knock-out phase at the Inussivik Arena.

They were well beaten by Argentina who won three editions of the tournament in a row before surrendering the crown to South American rivals Brazil in 2016.

Four players registered five goals each for the South Americans in a 39-17 success, Federico Fernandez, Federico Pizzaro, Ignacio Pizzaro and Santiago Baronetto.
