Russia secured four titles on the final day of Greco-Roman action at the United World Wrestling Under-23 European Championships in Turkey.

Alen Mirzoian, Vaag Margarian and Aleksandr Golovin all claimed individual gold medals to also propel Russia to the team crown in Istanbul.

Having failed to win gold at the event so far, Russian wrestlers had extra motivation today and Mirzoian began the charge from the nation when he won the 67 kilograms crown.

Mirzoian ousted Hungary's Otto Losonczi 7-3 to clinch the under-23 continental crown in style as Poland's Roman Pacurkowski and Norway's Morten Thoresen each took bronze.

Margarian then defeated Yaroslav Filchakov of Ukraine 3-1 in the final of the 82kg division.

He was joined on the podium by Eltun Vazirzade of Azerbaijan and Turkey's Burhan Akbudak, the recipients of the two available bronze medals.

The Russian hat-trick on the second day of finals was completed by Golovin, who also triumphed over a Ukrainian opponent as he beat Vladen Kozliuk 10-1 to wing at 94kg.

Suleyman Erbay of Turkey and Arvi Martin Savolainen of Finland claimed bronze.

Turkey enjoyed home success in the 60kg competition as Kerem Kamal of Turkey dispatched Artur Petrosian 6-3 to deny Russia another victory.

The bronze medals in the division went to Murad Mammadov of Azerbaijan and Georgia's Dato Chkhartishvili.

Ramaz Zoidze of Georgia won the 72kg crown after he beat Cengiz Arslan of Turkey 3-2 in the final, while Russian Narek Oganian and Arman Baghdasaryan of Armenia each earned bronze.

The performances from the Russian trio saw the nation wrap up the team crown with a total of 161 points.

They finished ahead of Turkey, who scored 142 points, and Georgia, third on 121 points.

The Championships continue tomorrow.
