Hosts The Netherlands wrapped up their 30th women's Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup title with a dramatic victory over defending champions China as Japan clinched the men's crown by beating Britain in Apeldoorn.

The Dutch team won the deciding doubles rubber on a tie-break to earn a narrow 2-1 win in a tense encounter with China.

Japan's triumph in the men's event was much more straightforward as they overcame top seeds Britain 2-0.

The Netherlands had to come from behind to win the women's tournament as Hui Min Huang beat world number three Aniek van Koot 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 in the opening singes match.

Diede de Groot restored parity for the host nation when she defeated Zhenzhen Zhu 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 to send the tie to a title-deciding doubles encounter.

De Groot and Van Koot looked to be heading towards a comfortable win when they raced through the opening set without losing a game.

The Chinese pairing hit back to level by winning the second set, leaving the tie-breaker as the only way of separating the two teams.

Thankfully for the Dutch supporters, De Groot and Van Koot held their nerve to seal a 6-0, 3-6, 12-10 win to give the Dutch a 30th crown in the 33 years since the first women’s event.

In the men's final, Takashi Sanada battled to a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory in his singles clash with Paralympic champion Gordon Reid.

Shingo Kunieda then secured the title for Japan when he ousted Paralympic silver medallist Alfie Hewett 6-2, 6-3.
