Turnstone's facilities, staff and resources will provide an elite training environment for both current and aspiring Paralympians. 

Athletes will have access to the Health and Wellness Center, which contains fitness equipment as well as two therapy consultation rooms and a therapeutic pool.

Aron McGuire, the United States Olympic Committee's senior director of Olympic Training Centers, said: "We are very excited to name Turnstone as the newest US Paralympic training site.

"The work that Turnstone does is essential in supporting our current and future Paralympians and ensuring that our athletes have the resources in place to compete and succeed at the highest levels of international competition."

Turnstone chief executive Mike Mushett added: "We are excited about the opportunity to partner with the United States Olympic Committee as one of our country's elite Paralympic training facilities and to further our relationship with the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA).

"The USOC's ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in the lives of people with Paralympic-eligible impairments, including physical disabilities and visual impairments, and USABA's focus on directly supporting blind and visually impaired athletes fully aligns with Turnstone's legacy work of creating possibilities for people with disabilities.
