Freestyle, Greco Roman and women's wrestlers will head to the Leo Palace Resort Ballroom at the Dededo Sports Complex in Guam this week for the Oceania Wrestling Championships.

The event will see wrestlers from American Samoa, Australia, Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Palau, Tahiti and Guam compete for medals.

The competition's Opening Ceremony will begin at 5:30pm local time tomorrow with the first medal matches of the competition taking place afterwards in all categories of the freestyle and women's wrestling events.

The Greco Roman titles will be decided the following day.

Before Sunday's (May 20) closing banquet, a beach wrestling competition will take place in the morning.

This weekend’s competition also serves as a qualifier for the Youth Olympic Games for athletes below the age of 18.

They will be hoping to win the right to represent their country at Buenos Aires 2018, which takes place from October 6 to 20.
