The United States won another eight medals, including five gold, on the final day of the World Para Swimming World Series in Indianapolis.

It meant the US finished with a total of 26 medals at the Indiana University Natatorium in an event featuring 198 swimmers from 17 countries. 

The evening had started with American women recorded the second sweep of the event. 

Four-time Paralympic medalists McKenzie Coan and Michelle Konkoly and six-time Paralympic medalist Becca Meyers placed first, second and third, respectively, in the 100 metres freestyle.

Then, 12-time Paralympic medalist Cortney Jordan won the 50m butterfly, while team-mate Julia Gaffney finishing third. 

In the 100m butterfly, two-time Paralympic medalist Lizzi Smith took home the gold medal.

On the men’s side, two-time Paralympian Evan Austin won the 50m butterfly and Lawrence Sapp the 100m butterfly.
