Corning produced a score of 87.11 to win the Slopestyle World Cup finale in the Italian resort of Seiseralm.

Norway's Fridtjof Tischendorf managed 84.36 for second place and Corning's team-mate Lyon Farrell posted 81.06 for bronze.

Corning duly finished on 1,500 to win the overall World Cup title by 50 points from fellow American Red Gerard, the Olympic gold medallist.

Marcus Kleveland of Norway finished a distant third on 1,000 points.

Italy's Michela Moioli won the women's snowboard cross finale in Veysonnaz in Switzerland having already wrapped up the World Cup crystal globe prior to the event.

French duo Chloé Trespeuch and Manon Petit Lenoir were second and third.

This meant that Moioli, the Olympic champion, ended the overall World Cup season with 8,410 points.

Trespeuch was second on 7,190 and a third Frenchwoman, Nelly Moenne Loccoz, was third on 6.840.

Nate Holland ensured more US success by beating fellow American Mick Dierdorff to the corresponding men's event.

Lucas Eguibar of Spain was third.

This did not affect the overall standings, though, which had already been won by Frenchman Pierre Vaultier, the back-to-back Olympic champion.

Roland Fischnaller of Italy won the final race of the men's parallel slalom season in Winterburg but this was not enough to take the overall title.

Switzerland's Nevin Galmarini was sixth in the final race but won by 1,504 points over Fischnaller overall.

Sebastian Kislinger of Austria was second on the day and Rok Marguc of Slovenia third.

Selina Joerg of Germany also finished second overall in the women's parallel slalom stakes despite a home race win today.

She beat Alena Zavarzina of Russia and Switzerland's Julie Zogg on the day.

Another Russian in Ekaterina Tudegesheva finished fifth but won the overall crown by just 10 points from Jorg.

Zogg was 190 further back in third.
