The International Ski Federation (FIS) have signed a deal with MND Group as part of a bid to engage the next generation of youngsters in snow sports.

It is claimed the partnership is a "natural fit for both organisations".

MND works to design and build solutions to develop mountain areas.

"The future of snow sports depends on the various stakeholders in snow sports working together," said FIS President Gian Franco Kasper.

"This partnership is a key step in that direction and we are proud to be working together."

Both parties will now work on the Bring Children to the Snow programme, generating a series of actions and tools that will enable easier creation of events and actions to get youngsters involved.

A key topic will be mountain safety with an animation created in 11 languages on the 10 FIS rules for the conduct of skiers and snowboarders.

"MND is glad to join the FIS Bring Children to the Snow programme and focus our efforts to engage more kids to ski all over the world," said MND chief executive and founder Xavier Gallot-Lavallée.

"Our daily work is to provide best solutions for end-users to practice winter sports and we are working hand in gloves with FIS on many topics such as quality of snow and safety on slopes."
