Stiff, involved in triathlon for almost 30 years as a competitor, coach and race director and has been President of the Board since 2014, said: "I am proud to continue in my role as President of the USA Triathlon Board of Directors, especially as we carry out our strategic plan focused on collaboration and growing triathlon participation nationwide.

"I know my fellow officers are equally committed to providing leadership and direction as we advance USA Triathlon’s mission.

"Most importantly, our collective passion for the sport will guide us in making decisions that help our multisport community thrive."

Treasurer Kevin Haas was also re-elected to the his role, continuing his tenure which started in 2014.

Staci Brode, who served as secretary from 2016 to 2017, has been elected as vice-president with Mike Wien, who had served as vice=-president from 2014, moving in the opposite direction.

Brode has been on in the Board since 2015 and is the liaison to the Race Director Committee.

She is also a USA Triathlon level 2 certified race director and has been organising triathlons since 2004.

Prior to joining the board in 2013, Wien spent 28 years in senior marketing positions at several large organisations including CitiBank and Deloitte.

Joel Rosinbum, an elite athlete representative on the Board, was pleased with all four appointments.

"Each elected officer brings a wealth of experience and an innovative mindset to the US Triathlon Board of Directors," he said.

"I am confident in the leadership team’s abilities to take on the opportunities and challenges that our sport faces today, and I look forward to working alongside each of them in the year to come."

The next USA Triathlon National Championships event is due to take place in Greenville on April 7 and 8.
