Having claimed silver in the sprint event, Fähndrich, who is competing at Pyeongchang 2018, was delighted to add another medal to her tally.

"I am very happy to have done an outstanding job here over the 10 kilometers and, having won my silver medal in the sprint, I have now proven that I am an all-rounder," she said.

"I felt very good and to be able to improve continuously is so cool, it just makes me happy to run, so now I'm getting ready for the Olympics, and that's a girl's dream come true."
