An 11-year-old table tennis player is among 93 more athletes confirmed for Wales' team at this year's Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast.

Anna Hursey is believed to be the youngest person to ever represent Wales at the Games after becoming making her senior debut for the team aged 10 last year.

She will be 11 years and 286 days old on April 4, the day of the Opening Ceremony.

"I don't normally get nervous, I know I am so young and will have lots of chances," she told the BBC.

A total of 124 Welsh athletes have now been announced, with only team participants in rugby sevens, hockey and netball still to be chosen.

Other leading members of the team include 2011 400 metres hurdles gold medalllist Dai Greene and defending swimming champions Jazz Carlin and Georgia Davies.

Olympic champions Elinor Barker and Dani King, who switched nationality from England to Wales, will lead the cycling team.

Geraint Thomas, though, will not defend the cycling road race title he won last time around.

Former world champion triathlete Non Stanford will make her Commonwealth Games debut after missing Glasgow 2014 through injury.

"We are very excited about today’s announcement," Commonwealth Games Wales chair Helen Phillips said.

"Being selected for Team Wales is a huge honour for these elite athletes, and is a result of all the hard work and dedication that they have already put into training and competing  at the highest level of their sport."
