An agreement has been announced between the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) and sports clothing company, 4F, to produce kit for next month's Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

The partnership was unveiled at the HOC headquarters in Athens following a meeting between HOC President Spyros Capralos and 4F Board of Directors member, Artur Chwist.

It was agreed at short notice with the help of mediation from the Polish Olympic Committee.

"It was the most sudden but the fastest deal I've ever done in my life," Capralos said afterwards.

"At the instigation of my friend [the] general secretary of the Polish Olympic Committee [Adam Krzesiński], I came into contact with the 4F which moved very fast but we quickly moved even though we have the well-known bureaucratic rigidities of the State.

"We as the HOC are very pleased with this deal that will help us save money from what we would spend on the clothing of our team in the Winter Olympics and if everything goes well, we are open to continue continuing cooperation for the Olympic Games of Tokyo ".

4F, a Polish company, also produced kit for Poland, Serbia and Latvia at Rio 2016 and are seeking to extend their appeal to other European countries.

"This collaboration is very important to us because we all know that Olympism has begun from Greece," said Chwist.

"We are already working with six Olympic Committees and we are now pleased to be Greece's turn as it is the first country to enter the Olympic Stadium and so our products will see them all over the world.

"We started our cooperation with the Polish Olympic Committee in 2008 and we have already had 10 years of experience and we hope that cooperation with Greece will continue after Pyeongchang and reach the Tokyo Olympic Games."
