Tokyo 2020's Japan House hospitality suite for next month's Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang 2018 will be located in Gangneung and will feature a number of "experience-based attractions", it has been announced.

The facility at the Gangneung Olympic Park, the home of ice sports at Pyeongchang 2018, will be open throughout both the Olympics and Paralympics.

According to Tokyo 2020, it will include various exhibits and events designed to promote the Games in the Japanese capital.

The Organising Committee claim the suite, created in conjunction with the Metropolitan Government, will showcase the appeal of the host city Tokyo through a variety of different content.

It is due to feature exhibits such as a photo corner depicting the sports added to the Olympic and Paralympic programme for Tokyo 2020 - baseball softball, karate, skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing and Para badminton and Para taekwondo.

Another attraction includes a booth which will produce high-speed 3D body images of visitors using the latest scanning technologies.

Images highlighting the recovery underway in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake will also be presented, along with videos and pictures of Tokyo's attractions.

Special-effects photography, deployed to give visitors a feel for the Rugby World Cup being held in Japan in 2019, are among the other features at Japan House.

Athletes representing Japan at Pyeongchang 2018 will be introduced using photos, while another exhibit will focus on the kit the country will wear at the Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

Visitors can also create a folded paper crane using Tokyo 2020 Japan House original origami paper.
