Austria swept the top two positions as action concluded at the International Ski Federation Parallel Snowboard World Cup in Lackenhof today with a mixed team competition.

It marked the perfect result for the host nation on home snow.

Claudia Riegler and Andreas Prommegger - entered as the Austrian third team - won the event after defeating first rated Sabine Schoeffmann and men's individual bronze medallist Alexander Payer.

Selina Joerg and Patrick Bussler of Germany secured the bronze medal.

They defeated Aleksandra Krol and Michael Nowaczyk of Poland in the small final.

A Swiss team including men's individual winner Nevin Galmarini and women's bronze medallist Ladina Jenny were among those to exit at the quarter-final stage.

There was no Czech Republic team so no opportunity for women's individual winner Ester Ledecká to feature.

World Cup parallel snowboard action is due to continue in Austria with another leg beginning in Bad Gastein on Friday (January 12).
