USA Wrestling is to host a women's development camp in Phoenix in Arizona.

The purpose of the camp is to bring together some of the best young talent in the country in a bid to improve their performances.

Wrestlers ranging from schoolgirl to junior level are all set to attend the camp between December 27 and 30.

Eight practice sessions will be held with psychology and nutrition also covered.

Among those expected to attend are 2017 junior world champion Maya Nelson, 2017 junior world bronze medallist Asia Ray and cadet world silver medalist Emily Shilson.

Previous world medalists Alleida Martinez, Gracie Figueroa and Macey Kilty will also be taking part.

The coaching line-up will include star names such as former world champion Adeline Gray and Olympic bronze medallist Clarissa Chun.

"This is our fourth year having this camp at Arizona State University," women's freestyle national assistant coach Emma Randall said. 

"These camps are crucial for our young athletes to come together to learn, grow and train regularly for development.  

"Fifty per cent of this year's senior national team took part in our development programming from 2012 to 2016.  

"Our future stars are coming through this programme."
