Norway pipped Poland to the seventh leg of the International Ski Federation Ski Jumping World Cup in Titisee-Neustadt.

Their quartet of Robert Johansson, Daniel Andre Tande, Anders Fannemel and Johan Andre Forfang scored a total of 1083.6 points from their eight jumps.

Fannemel's second jump of 141.5 metres, delivered off a speed of 90.5 kilometres per hour, for 89.7 points, was the highlight of a consistent set of leaps.

Poland had looked well placed with their quartet of Piotr Zyla, Maciej Kot, Dawid Kubacki and Kamil Stoch but could only record 1082.8 points.

Stoch's first leap of 142.5 metres for 91.5 points was the highlight of their display.

Behind them in third came Germany with 1054.7 points, ahead of Slovenia, with 1011.5 points in fourth and Austria in fifth with 1010.9 points, in the 11 team event.

Germany's Richard Freitag managed a massive leap of 143.5 metres, for 93.3 points, the largest leap of the event.

Japan finished sixth ahead of Finland and Switzerland.

The Czech Republic, Italy and the Russian Federation failed to qualify for the second round.
