Simone Ruffini and Arianna Bridi will seek an Italian double at the top of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Marathon Swimming World Cup standings following the final leg in Hong Kong tomorrow.

The duo will compete in respective male and female races over 10 kilometres in Repulse Bay.

Ruffini currently boasts a haul of 77 points in the men's standings to lead by just one point over fellow-countryman Federico Vanelli.

Allan do Carmo of Brazil and Kristóf Rasovszky of Hungary are tied for third place on 62 points.

Reigning Olympic champion Ferry Weertman of The Netherlands lies fifth on 40 points.

All five World Cup leaders are entered for the final leg, with 20 points available for the winner.

Bridi holds a more comfortable lead in the corresponding women's standings.

Her haul of 104 points has put her 20 clear of Ana Marcela Cunha of Brazil and Rachele Bruni of Italy, who are tied on 84.

Hong Kong marks the last stop on an seven-stage World Cup series held across four continents.

Rasovszky and Ana Cunha of Brazil were crowned winners at the most recent event held in Chun'an County in China on Sunday (October 15) after races notable for the use of video technology for the first time.
