The quarter-final draw has been confirmed for the World Women's Junior Water Polo World Championships in Volos in Greece.

Victory for the United States, the reigning champions and winners of the last two editions of this event, this evening completed the line-up for the last eight.

They coasted past Serbia 10-1 to set up a quarter-final match with hosts Greece at the National Swimming Pool.

Hungary are also through to the quarter-finals after they overcame Australia 8-5 today.

Awaiting them for a place in the semi-finals are Spain, the 2013 and 2015 silver medallists.

Russia, bronze medallists two years ago, defeated China 9-5 this morning to progress and will now take on Italy.

It is the third time in a row that the Greek port city of Volos has hosted the tournament after it also welcomed the 2013 and 2015 editions.
